Dr Eric Chou is a Consultant Nephrologist, completing Bachelor of Pharmacy in 2004 and MBBS in 2009 at University of Queensland, and obtaining specialist accreditation through the Royal Australasian College of Physicians in 2016. Eric has gained experience working in many renal units across Queensland, chief amongst these include the Princess Alexandra Hospital, Logan Hospital, Cairns Base Hospital and Far North Queensland. Eric is passionate about building long term therapeutic relations with patients and their families, providing a patient centred approach to overall clinical management. He believes strongly in the multi-disciplinary approach to patient care, incorporating General Practitioners, other specialists and allied health care professionals.

Eric is fluent in Mandarin, and with his understanding of Asian culture, is well equipped to care for individuals from a Chinese-speaking background.

Eric also has a keen interest in education, having been an Associate Lecturer at the University of Queensland, participating in training of junior doctors and medical students. Dr Chou is the founding executive director of Queensland Nephrology. Having lived in Brisbane for over 20 years, he has a deep appreciation of the local lifestyle and cultural aspects.
