In accordance with new Medicare rules, we are now able to provide Telehealth consults during the COVID-19 pandemic. These arrangements are currently in place until 30 September 2020, and we will aim to utilise this in the mean time whenever possible, to help promote social distancing prevent infection spread.

1. Telehealth consults are NOT available for new patients.
2. To qualify for Telehealth consults, you must have been reviewed by Dr Eric Chou within the past 12 months
Our secretary will be in touch regarding the arrangement and timing of these Telehealth consults. If you already have an existing appointment with Dr Eric Chou, we will endeavour to keep the same timeslot for telephone consult.

Chronic kidney disease (CKD) is a very common condition in Australia, with more people diagnosed with this condition every year. Did you know that:
Risk factors for Chronic Kidney Disease (CKD): diabetes, high blood pressure, heart problems, family history of CKD, obesity, smoking, 60 years or older, are of Aboriginal or Torres Strait Islander origin, have a history of acute kidney injury. CKD is a significant problem, as it is associated with higher rate of heart disease and death. It also tends to worsen over time, and without suitable treatment, some people may progress to kidney failure requiring dialysis.
